Another popular hill with both great history and a bird-eye view that will take your breath away! Locals call Philopappos Hill the perfect spot for the best view of the Acropolis, and we couldn’t agree more. To reach Philopappos Monument and enjoy its view, you must first enter the park where the monument resides and then head straight up to the top. You can find many entrances along the way. When you arrive at your destination, you will find benches and a platform to soak up the view. If that matters to you, Phiopappos Hill is usually quieter than Lycabettus Hill, so you can enjoy a chill atmosphere there.

In ancient Greece, the Areopagus was a sacred place devoted to the god of war, Ares. It was also the location of the reputed court of the Areios Pagos and some centuries later it became the place from which Saint Paul first proclaimed Christianity to the Athenians. Today it remains a very popular viewpoint among locals as it is easily accessible. Take a walk there and you will find lots of couples and groups of friends sitting, chatting, and admiring a breathtaking view all day long.
