An Italian-style breakfast at Caffè Novecento in Rome

One of the best things we, Truevoyagers, love to experience during our adventures are the culinary traditions of the region we are exploring. The breakfast ritual is without a doubt one of our favorites! There is no better way to give yourself an energy boost in the morning and prepare for a day full of activities than brunching in the cute and picturesque Caffè Novecento in Rome!

A cozy place for coffee and pastries

Italians have their special way to enjoy breakfast, usually with a well-made cappuccino and a great variety of pastry products. This sounds really intriguing and an experience nobody should miss while visiting an Italian city. It was during our journey in Rome when we discovered this typical Italian caffè, called Novecento, on our way to Saint Peter's Square. What we saw when we entered the coffee house seemed quite promising and definitely rewarding for any morning visitor. A long table with all kinds of cakes, tarts and morning delicacies and the smell of freshly-roasted coffee convinced us that we were at the right place!

The bar

There was a big variety of pastries we could choose from, such as torta a la rosa canina, torta di pere e arancio, torta di mele e limone, cornettis and other Italian dolci. The first thing we ordered though was a double cappuccino, strong enough to wake us up and right afterwards, a couple of tortas to accompany our coffee and tickle our palates.

The place is nicely decorated with an attention to detail. It "exhales" a really cozy and relaxing feeling and it is ideal for every visitor who wants to escape from the "hustle and bustle" of the always vibrant and touristy eternal city.
