Detailed itinerary:

1. Our walking adventure starts at Monastiraki, the most vibrant part of the City. There, we will talk about some of the historic sites located in the square, enjoy the colorful fruit stalks and find out which places are the best ones for a night drink with views to Acropolis. You’ll explore the most scenic area of Athens and find out why the locals call it the neighborhood of the Gods. You'll walk through the most ancient street of Athens and probably the only one in the world holding the same name during the last 2500 years.

2. We leave ancient history behind us as we will start exploring Greece’s most recent history. You’ll learn about the Constitution, the Greek Parliament and Evzones, the impressive presidential guards and their history. You’ll enjoy the beauty of the biggest green oasis in the center of the city the same way Kings and Queens were enjoying their afternoon promenades 200 years ago. You’ll see the Presidential mansion and if we are lucky you’ll experience the change of the guards, a ceremony not-to-be-missed!

3. You’ll dive into history once more as we visit the stadium where the first modern Olympic games were held and you’ll learn its secrets and what makes it one-of-a-kind all over the world. You’ll find out why the Olympic games back in 1896 were not actually the first ones in recent history and you’ll learn about the man behind this peculiar story.

4. You’ll walk through one of the most emblematic pedestrian zones of Athens and find out why it is considered to be the biggest open-air museum of the city. You’ll get amazed by the architecture of the Acropolis museum, one of the top 10 museums in the world and learn what makes it so special. You'll enjoy some breathtaking views of Acropolis and the city of Athens and visit the jail that’s believed to be the place where Socrates was kept before committing suicide. We’ll end our walk in Monastiraki through a secret passage with views to the oldest mall in the world and one of best preserved ancient temples of the city.
