Detailed itinerary:
1. Our walking adventure starts by exploring Greece’s most recent history. You’ll learn about the Constitution, the Greek Parliament and Evzones, the impressive presidential guards and their history. You’ll enjoy the beauty of the biggest green oasis in the center of the city the same way Kings and Queens were enjoying their afternoon promenades 200 years ago. You’ll see the Presidential mansion and if we are lucky you’ll experience the change of the guards, a ceremony not-to-be-missed!
2. You’ll dive into history once more as we visit the stadium where the first modern Olympic games were held and you’ll learn its secrets and what makes it one-of-a-kind all over the world. You’ll find out why the Olympic games back in 1896 were not actually the first ones in recent history and you’ll learn about the man behind this peculiar story.
3. Next, you will stroll around the sacred rock of Acropolis enjoying some bird-eye views, you will visit the Filopappou hill and you will admire some architectural gems at one of the most expensive, high end areas of Athens that hosts the world-famous museum of Acropolis.
